関係副詞

　関係副詞 = 前置詞 + 関係代名詞

　関係副詞は、その意味の中に前置詞的要素を含んでいる。

I know the place

which

Tom likes.

　先行詞が場所の場合に用いる。

I know	the place.

Tom went	to the place.
	↓
I know	the place which	Tom went to.
	↓
I know	the place to which	Tom went.
	↓
	where

　先行詞が時の場合に用いる。

I know	the day.
	+
She went to Europe	on the day.
	↓
I know	the place which	Tom went to.
	↓
I know	the day which	she went to Europe on.
	↓
I know	the day on which	she went to Europe.

　先行詞が原因、理由の場合に用いる。

I know	the reason.
	+
She was absent from school	for the reason.
	↓
I know	the reason which	she was absent from school for.
	↓
I know	the reason for which	she was absent from school.
	↓
	why

　先行詞が手段、方法の場合に用いる。

I know	the way.
	+
Tom learned Japanese	by the way.

I know	the way which	Tom learned Japanese by.
	↓
I know	the way by which	Tom learned Japanese.

	how

　関係副詞の "why" と "how" は、先行詞か関係副詞のどちらか一方を省略しても良い。
